Hello everyone! 

Welcome to Lift For Life Academy’s NEW College and Career Readiness blog! 
We’ve created this blog to give our high school seniors the space to share their experiences in preparation for their future. With this platform, our goal is for our seniors to pay it forward.. To share their successes as well as any obstacles they may have encountered so that other students will be in a better position to deal with similar situations in the future. In this blog, they will share tips and advice on topics related to academic success, college and career planning, financial literacy, and much more. From steps that freshman should take in their first semester to opening a checking/savings account to questions students should ask of college representatives during tours, our student bloggers will cover everything there is to know about preparing for life after high school. 

Through this blog, we aim to provide younger generations with the tools necessary to successfully navigate their high school journey with the ultimate goal of securing their own post-secondary plans as graduation gets closer. We hope that this blog will benefit students of all grade levels and expect that they post entries, read each others posts, and engage in meaningful discussions with one another.

There are so many activities, school events, and just random stuff that you need to pay for. Money is an essential part of growing up, but there are certain things you may need to know to be successful on the job and keep up on your work at school.             When I first started working, I was a sophomore. I just got my car and there were a lot of new things I became exposed to. With having a car, you have to pay for gas, insurance, maintenance, and any other additions you may want to put on the car. Nicholas, Class of 2019, shares what he will miss about high school. I’m gonna graduate this year. Class of 2019, right. You’d think that I’d be one of the happiest people on the planet, but the truth is I’m a little sad. And as each class period goes by with each day, I get even more depressed.
